OBJECTIVE 1:

By the end of the event, participants will have an improved awareness of the following Wildfire Urban Interface (WUI) purposes, benefits, restrictions, and resource acquisition/activation processes:

  1. Declarations (multiple types),
  2. The Public and Individual Assistance Programs (two distinct programs),
  3. Hazard Mitigation Assistance (HMA) grants,
  4. Labor/Equipment/Materials/Other (LEMO) cost tracking technology,
  5. Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD),
  6. Department of Emergency and Military Affairs’ logistics, and
  7. The Fire Management Assistance Grant (FMAG).

OBJECTIVE 2:

By the end of the event, participants will have an improved understanding of the:

  1. Fire Chief’s Mutual Aid changes and
  2. Arizona Mutual Aid Compact.

OBJECTIVE 2:

By the end of the event, participants will have been introduced to State and other contacts for improved disaster planning.
