OBJECTIVE 1:
By the end of the event, participants will have an improved awareness of the following Wildfire Urban Interface (WUI) purposes, benefits, restrictions, and resource acquisition/activation processes:
- Declarations (multiple types),
- The Public and Individual Assistance Programs (two distinct programs),
- Hazard Mitigation Assistance (HMA) grants,
- Labor/Equipment/Materials/Other (LEMO) cost tracking technology,
- Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD),
- Department of Emergency and Military Affairs’ logistics, and
- The Fire Management Assistance Grant (FMAG).
OBJECTIVE 2:
By the end of the event, participants will have an improved understanding of the:
- Fire Chief’s Mutual Aid changes and
- Arizona Mutual Aid Compact.
OBJECTIVE 2:
By the end of the event, participants will have been introduced to State and other contacts for improved disaster planning.
